Social Media Image Resizer
The exact pixels every platform wants, in one click.
How to resize for social media
- Pick the platform format; the exact pixel size is shown next to each option.
- Add your image; it is scaled and center-cropped to fill the target size completely, with no distortion and no bars.
- Switch formats with the same image loaded to produce several versions in a row.
- Check the preview with the eye icon, then download; the file is a JPG at the platform's native resolution.
Frequently asked questions
- How is the image cropped?
- Cover-style from the center: the image is scaled until it fills the target frame, and whatever overflows is trimmed equally from both sides. Nothing is stretched.
- What if the subject is not in the center?
- Center cropping can cut off-center subjects. Crop the image roughly around your subject first (any editor works), then run it through here for the exact platform size.
- Are these sizes current?
- The presets follow the platforms' recommended 2026 dimensions: 1080×1080 posts and 1080×1920 stories for Instagram, 1600×900 for X, 1200×630 for Facebook links, 1280×720 for YouTube thumbnails, 1584×396 for LinkedIn covers.
- Is my image uploaded anywhere?
- No. Cropping runs entirely in your browser; the image never leaves your device.
